1. Position Summary:

The Quantexa Technical Lead is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the end-to-end design, development, implementation, delivery and support of Quantexa solutions. This role requires deep expertise in the Quantexa platform, data engineering, big data technologies and software development best practices. The successful candidate will lead technical teams, drive architecture and design decisions, mentor developers, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure and high-performing Quantexa solutions. Close collaboration with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Data Engineers and Business Stakeholders is essential to translate business requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable business value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Design & Delivery

• Own the technical design, quality and successful delivery of Quantexa solutions.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Define and review technical architecture, solution design and implementation approaches.

• Lead the development and implementation of Quantexa solutions while ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

• Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, maintainability and reliability.

• Identify technical risks and dependencies and establish mitigation strategies.

• Drive automation and standardisation across development and deployment processes.

• Support production deployments, troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Manage and reduce technical debt through proactive design and engineering improvements.

Quantexa Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership across multiple Quantexa workstreams and projects.

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for development teams and stakeholders.

• Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews and performance reviews.

• Establish technical standards, development guidelines and governance processes.

• Champion best practices in software engineering and Quantexa development.

• Guide teams in designing scalable and reusable Quantexa frameworks and components.

• Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quantexa Platform Expertise

Lead and provide hands-on expertise across:

• Quantexa ETL Frameworks

• Entity Resolution (ER) -- design, configuration and tuning

• Network Generation -- graph construction and optimisation

• Graph Scripting -- custom traversal and scoring logic

• Compound Design and Optimisation

• Scoring Framework Development

• Alerting Framework Configuration

• Task Loading Framework

• Decision Intelligence Workflows

• Data Ingestion and Processing Pipelines

• Historical, Incremental and Near Real-Time Processing

• Performance Tuning and Optimisation

• Batch Processing Frameworks

• Data Quality and Validation Frameworks

Team Development & Mentorship

• Mentor Quantexa developers and data engineers.

• Drive technical capability development within the team.

• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

• Support team members in achieving Quantexa certifications and technical growth goals.

• Conduct regular technical reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.

Engineering Excellence

• Perform detailed code reviews and design reviews.

• Champion development best practices, coding standards, testing frameworks and CI/CD processes.

• Implement reusable frameworks, accelerators and development standards.

• Ensure appropriate monitoring, logging, alerting and support mechanisms are in place.

• Drive performance optimisation across Quantexa pipelines and applications.

• Support root cause analysis and resolution of production issues.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Quantexa Experience

• Proven experience leading multiple Quantexa implementations including Proof of Concept (PoC), Pilot Programmes and Enterprise Implementations.

• Strong expertise in Quantexa platform architecture and development.

• Hands-on experience configuring and optimising qModel, qEntity, qElement, qCompound, Scoring Frameworks, Alerting Frameworks, Task Loading Frameworks and Graph Scripts.

• Expertise in Entity Resolution design and tuning.

• Expertise in Compound development and optimisation.

• Strong experience in Quantexa ETL framework implementation and troubleshooting.

• Experience tuning large-scale Quantexa pipelines for performance and scalability.

• Strong understanding of Network Generation and Decision Intelligence methodologies.

• Quantexa Certified Professional or Technical Lead Certification preferred.

Data Engineering & Big Data

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala, Apache Spark, Hadoop Ecosystem and SQL.

• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed data processing solutions.

• Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality, ETL processes, data integration and data validation frameworks.

• Experience with high-volume data processing environments.

DevOps & Cloud

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines.

• Understanding of DevOps principles and release management.

• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability and operational support processes.

Preferred Domain Experience

Experience delivering Quantexa solutions within one or more of the following domains:

• Financial Crime & AML

• Fraud Detection

• Customer Intelligence

• Insurance Analytics

• Risk & Compliance / KYC / CDD

• Banking & Financial Services

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

• Quantexa Certification preferred.

• Relevant Cloud Certification (Azure / AWS / GCP) is a plus.

EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of software development and data engineering experience.

• 4+ years of hands-on Quantexa implementation experience.

• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Quantexa delivery teams.

• Experience managing technical delivery across multiple Quantexa projects and environments.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
