About the Role

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance.
  • Navigate routes effectively while adhering to schedules.
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays during transport.
  • Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Assist in route planning to optimize delivery efficiency.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
  • Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for different types of freight.
  • Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and customers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
