About the Role
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Operate trucks in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance.
- Navigate routes effectively while adhering to schedules.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays during transport.
- Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist in route planning to optimize delivery efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for different types of freight.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
