About the Role

Your Responsibilities

The Student Compliance & Visa Support Officer will be responsible for managing student compliance documentation, supporting prospective students with visa applications and immigration-related requirements, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring an outstanding student experience from enrolment through arrival.

 

The role requires excellent organizational capabilities, strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively with students from a wide range of cultural and national backgrounds.


Student Compliance Management

 

  • Review, verify, and maintain student files in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all admissions documentation is accurate, complete, authentic, and compliant.

  • Monitor compliance checkpoints throughout the student lifecycle.

  • Maintain accurate student records within institutional databases and CRM systems.

  • Identify missing, expired, or non-compliant documentation and proactively follow up with students.

  • Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and audits.

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of compliance procedures and controls.

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, academic regulations, GDPR requirements, and relevant legal obligations.

  • Visa and Immigration Support

  • Guide prospective and enrolled students through visa and immigration processes.

  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding documentation requirements, timelines, and procedures.

  • Review visa application packages and supporting documentation.

  • Liaise with students, admissions teams, embassies, consulates, visa centers, and external partners when required.

  • Track visa application progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Help identify potential visa risks and escalate complex cases appropriately.

  • Support students with pre-arrival requirements and onboarding activities.

 

Student and Candidate Support

 

  • Act as a primary point of contact for applicants requiring compliance and visa assistance.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the admissions and enrolment journey.

  • Respond to student enquiries via telephone, email, video calls, and face-to-face meetings.

  • Build positive relationships with applicants and students from diverse international backgrounds.

  • Support students in resolving administrative challenges efficiently and professionally.

 

Administrative Management

 

  • Process large volumes of documentation while maintaining high accuracy levels.

  • Maintain organized digital and physical records.

  • Generate reports and track compliance KPIs.

  • Coordinate with Admissions, Student Services, Academic Operations, Finance, and other departments.

  • Support institutional projects related to student compliance and international mobility.

 

Commercial and Recruitment Support

 

  • Understand student needs and guide them effectively through the enrolment process.

  • Assist prospective students in overcoming administrative and visa barriers to enrolment.

  • Contribute to conversion and enrolment objectives through proactive student engagement.

  • Collaborate closely with admissions and recruitment teams to support business growth.

  • Act as a professional ambassador for BSBI and promote a positive student experience.

Your profile

Essential
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
  • English proficiency at C1-C2 level (written and spoken).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
     
     Highly Desirable
     
  • Previous experience in higher education, admissions, compliance, immigration, legal administration, or international student services.
  • Knowledge of Spanish or European immigration procedures.
  • Experience working with CRM and student management systems.
  • Additional language skills.
  • Experience dealing with international clients or customers.
