About the Role

Description

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God’s Word. Today we’re one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open God’s Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.

The Product Coordinator keeps projects on track in a dynamic publishing environment. A strong candidate for this role is passionate about publishing, the Word of God, coordinating talented professionals, and managing details. Projects arrive quickly and priorities can shift from day to day, so flexibility and gracious, clear communication skills are essential.

The Product Coordinator keeps a diverse portfolio of projects — special sales, licensing products, trade products, and reprints — moving on schedule and to specification. The role coordinates production timelines across departments, maintains accurate product information, and manages file preparation and approvals so assigned titles reach their bound book dates ready for release.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate production schedules for an assigned portfolio and keep projects on track to their bound book dates (BBDs) — building cross-department timelines and workflows, monitoring deadlines and prioritizing tasks across departments through the production-tracking systems, resolving project delays with creative, practical solutions, and escalating dates that remain at risk to the manager and product teams.
  • Manage file preparation and approvals and maintain accurate, current product information so production files meet requirements and quality standards.
  • Serve as a resource for product, scheduling, and process questions across departments.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships across departments to support effective coordination and communication.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements that increase clarity and efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support to the department as needed.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the resourcefulness to resolve scheduling conflicts and delays.
  • Clear, effective communicator across departments.
  • Detail-oriented and service-oriented.
  • Diligent and adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications Needed

  • College education preferred.
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith
