What you’ll do

  • Adherence to safety: Operate machines / equipment as per safe work instructions which includes TPM checklists. Identify any potential hazards and risks and report unsafe conditions to Foreman.
  • Production: Collect cast mould boxes from the cooling bay, break open cast mould boxes and smoothly knock out sand on the vibrating table. Ensure castings are not shaken directly on the table screen.
  • Production: Achieve laid down production targets. Always work according to efficiency standards and adhere to quality control as per work instructions. 
  • Inspection: Inspect and ensure castings do not have any breakages or damages and is correct as per work instruction requirements. Report non-conformance's and communicate suggestions for improvement to the Foreman.
  • Transportation: Remove clean castings from the shakeout and transport to the demarcated shot blast area. Recycle/Store moulding boxes as required.
  • Attend compulsory safe start / green area meetings at the beginning of every shift.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • 12 to 24 months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
