What you’ll do

  • Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions.
  • Adhere to required protective clothing rules and ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
  • To safely and efficiently load and unload parts on/off machine centers with an overhead crane, including the turning over the part.
  • Deburring of sharp edges and the cleaning of the parts.
  • Assist the machinist with clamping and unclamping parts on the machine.
  • Assist the machinist with the cleaning of the machine, including the removal of swarf and transfer thereof to the designated skips.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Previous experience as a crane operator.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.

Nice-to-have(s): 

  • Valid overhead crane license.
