About the Role


Electrical Engineering Intern

 

Overview

CAM Integrated Solutions is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support our Houston team. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to power system design, project documentation, and real-world field applications under the mentorship of senior engineers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with drafting single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and basic load calculations.
  • Support preparation of engineering deliverables and vendor documentation.
  • Learn to use industry-standard tools (ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD).
  • Shadow engineers during design reviews, site walk-downs, and project meetings.
  • Research standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA) to support design compliance.
  • Perform data entry, QA/QC checks, and help maintain project files.


Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
  • Strong academic foundation in circuits, power systems, or controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to AutoCAD or ETAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and eagerness to learn.
