About the Role
Mechanical Engineering Intern
Overview
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Houston office. This role provides exposure to mechanical design, equipment specifications, and field applications across energy and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in drafting and checking mechanical design documents.
- Assist with equipment data sheets, material take-offs, and vendor submittals.
- Learn mechanical standards and specifications relevant to rotating and static equipment.
- Participate in site visits, vendor coordination calls, and project team meetings.
- Conduct basic engineering research and prepare technical notes.
- Provide administrative support for project schedules, files, and engineering packages.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science coursework.
- Exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is helpful.
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, and proactive learner.
