Description
Job Objective: To recruit prospective students and meet or exceed RWU’s annual undergraduate enrollment goals. To contribute to and share RWU’s positive brand message.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage assigned territories. Develop and implement a communication plan that includes a 30 day contact plan for all applied, accepted, and deposited students (and parents) through phone calls, texts, letters, e-mail, social networking, high school visits, and off-campus interviews in assigned territories. Build and foster relationships with assigned high school counselors and community/church leaders in assigned territories.
Prepare a comprehensive recruiting plan that includes individual travel, schedule HS visits, register for college fairs, and high school fairs. Represent Roberts at high schools, college fairs, and churches in and out of state as assigned. Share recruiting/travel plan and itinerary with Director of Recruiting. Prepare summary evaluation of travel upon return an
Reconcile monthly credit card and cash expenses related to travel and recruiting.
Prepare Weekly Counselor Report with reflections on prioritizing to meet visit, app completion, yield, and FAFSA goals.
Participate in admissions-sponsored campus activities including but not limited to Individual Visits, Discovery Days, Transfer Days, Academic Scholarship Celebration, Accepted Students Day, New Student Registration Days, New Student Orientation, Summer Camp, Summer Send Off and all other events.
To practice, prepare and give large group presentations using Power Point and Google Slides.
Evaluate completed prospective student application files and make recommendation for admissions decision
Support Student Financial Services in counseling families about their financial aid offers, cost of college and value of investment for all accepted and deposited students.
Update powerpoints for Discovery Days, HS School presentations, Group visits, etc. to ensure pictures and contact are fresh. Work with CLC media rep to make sure all presentations are formatted properly and with Brand and Marketing on Social Media ideas.
Requirements
Preparation and Training
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred. Equivalent combination of education & experience.
Experience and Skills
1-3 years experience in recruiting, sales or admissions, specifically learning and retaining significant programmatic knowledge, skills in relationship building with youth and parents. Strong written and oral communication. Excellent customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize work. The confidence and motivation to take initiative and work independently and with a team. Commitment to a positive and professional disposition. Drive to meet enrollment goals. Willingness to work long hours when needed. Driver’s license in good standing. Previous recruiting and admissions experience given priority.
