About the Role

Description

PCT Ebeam and Integration is an original equipment manufacturer and system integrator. We seek a Mechanical Designer to utilize 2D and 3D CAD software to  prepare layouts, equipment drawings, and standard details in compliance with customer requirements and organizational policy and procedure. Our primary design software is SolidWorks. We have a designer retiring at the end of the year and while we would like to hire as soon as possible for overlap, we will consider December graduates for the role.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares, revises or creates designs for mechanical equipment and machines under the direction of a mechanical engineer, according to customer requirements and organization policy and procedure.

2. Recommends hardware needed for project and provides estimate of hours to complete specific tasks.

3. Communicates with engineers, project managers, shop personnel and customers to ensure projects remains on schedule and within budget.

4. Supports projects by providing technical support and direction to internal staff and external customers.

5. Works with engineers and other professionals to create or improve manufacturing systems or processes.

6. Performs duties in support of the shop assembly efforts as needed.



Requirements

 

Education and/or Experience

 An associate’s degree or 3+ years related experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and SolidWorks or similar design package experience. Knowledge of industry accepted mechanical design standards.
