Most of the Master’s degree programmes last for 1 year in full-time mode, and 2 years in part-time mode. About the Role

Programme Officer, Undergraduate Studies Section (26270201)

The UG Studies Section administers one of the largest UG programmes at HKBU, offering 8 business concentrations to over 1,900 students. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and service-oriented team player to join our dynamic team and undertake a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing student development initiatives, including the Student Ambassador Programme and related activities;
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of undergraduate programme events and student engagement activities;
  • Administering financial support schemes and providing guidance to students on application and funding matters;
  • Coordinating financial, reimbursement, procurement and related administrative processes in accordance with University policies and procedures;
  • Managing scholarship administration, including nomination, assessment, and award processes, and liaising with relevant stakeholders; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess:

  • A recognised bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in student affairs, event management or programme administration;
  • Good organisational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work effectively in a team environment;
  • A positive, proactive, and service-oriented attitude, with attention to detail;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; and
  • Experience in student engagement initiatives will be an advantage.

Occasional weekend and evening duties will be required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and/or an interview.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
