About the Role

Description

About us:

New York Preschool & Kids Club is a premier early childhood education and enrichment platform serving modern New York families through high-quality preschool education, enrichment programming, extended day, and summer camp experiences for children ages 2-6 years old. With multiple schools across NYC and private-equity backing, NYPKC is building a best-in-class operating platform, delivering on the full family experience for children and parents.

About the Role:
The Head Coach position plays a critical role in elevating the quality of NY Preschool and Kids Club's enrichment and preschool programs. This position is both instructional and leadership-focused, serving as a bridge between the teaching team and the Head of School/Education Director. By coaching, mentoring, and modeling best practices, the Head Coach ensures that every class and event reflects NYPKC's commitment to excellence, family satisfaction, and community impact at the school level. At this school, the Head Coach leads the full range of enrichment classes (music, art, dance, drama, and gym), runs our Afternoon Club after-school program, and leads our Department of Education gym classes for preschool, so comfort leading gym and movement is essential. This position works M-F 9am-6pm. Pay is $25 to $32/hr based on qualifications and ECE credentials.

  • Lead school events each semester (e.g., camp previews, trial classes) that highlight NYPKC programs and foster family engagement as needed.
  • Partner with the Head of School and Education Director to strengthen communication with families through polished and effective pre- and post-class announcements.

Operations

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of inventory counts and order requests.
  • Support scheduling and execution of training, special events, and enrichment launches at your home school and sister schools when needed.
  • Balance a workload of approximately 25–30 teaching hours in assigned programs with 10–15 leadership/project hours, totaling up to 40 hours per week.
