Job Title: Maintenance

Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications): $20.75 - 32.00

Location: 9119 S. Exchange Ave Chicago, IL 60617

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with a Saturday Rotation 8:00am - 1:00pm

We are seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our team at Chicago Family Health Center. As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe and functioning properly in all aspects. You will be expected to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to all systems and equipment on a regular basis, ensuring that our patients, staff and visitors are always provided with a safe and comfortable environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a system of regularly scheduled maintenance actions to prevent failure of facility systems.
• Prioritize the repairs and maintenance received daily from the work order system.
• Daily inspected walk through of site for facility systems and materials being of sound and functional condition in each department.
• Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Semi-annual and annual evaluation and repair is performed on various equipment for instance, emergency battery lights, bathroom fans, HVAC filters and switches, etc.  
• Breakdown maintenance most of which can be repaired on a work order request e.g. desk, cabinets and small equipment. Minor repairs are to be handled immediately as presented.
• Identify deterioration, possible damage to adjacent materials or systems, or failure of components in the facility. If major problems and repairs are needed, recommendations and reports to supervisor.
• Preventive maintenance of equipment is reported and if beyond capability of repair should be reported to supervisor for contractual repair or replacement.
• Transport supplies and equipment between sites.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
