About the Role

PM Mold is seeking a Quality Technician to help us take our Injection Molding Quality department to the next level. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact our growing company by assisting to ensure the smooth operations of our facilities. Under the direction of the Quality Manager, this role will support the production department through First piece, in-process and final inspections, early non-conformance detection and reporting of defective products. Lead containment actions. The top candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards. Duties & Responsibilities:

Will be performing injection molding dimensional inspection. Verifies first piece and end of run samples. Evaluate parts, record results. Identify dimensional and visual defects using Quality Standard Check. Will complete and maintain records. Approve and reject parts based on test results and standards. Also, will inspect finished parts and conduct dock audits as specified in procedures 

Requirements

 

  • Knowledge of ISO and other related quality system standards
  • Ability to operate inspection/lab equipment
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong leadership abilities and good communication skills
  • Understanding basic blueprint reading principles, understanding quality principles and practices.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparator
  • Computer skills – Excel/Word
  • Excellent Attendance Mandatory
  • Corrective/Preventative Actions Report experience
  • 2-5 years prior quality inspection experience
  • Plastics/Molding experience a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
