Position: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Compensation: $27.25 - $32.00/hour (DOE)

As our Aquatics Specialist, you'll combine technical expertise with warm hospitality to maintain our pools, hot tubs, and water systems to the highest standards, all while embodying our "Sharing Smiles" philosophy. Responsibilities
- Maintain pools, hot tubs, and water systems for optimal performance.
- Monitor and adjust chemical levels, temperatures, and filtration systems.
- Perform opening/closing procedures for seasonal aquatic areas.
- Repair and replumb systems using PVC, copper, or galvanized metals.
- Manage chemical and equipment inventory, ensuring safe storage and timely orders.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety standards (PPE required).
- Train Engineering Technicians on aquatics systems and BGV’s Engineering Modules.
- Assist with general engineering tasks, snow removal, and property upkeep.
- Respond to fire alarms and emergencies as a first responder.
- Uphold BGV’s "End of the Line" philosophy—resolving issues without passing them along.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one of the following: 1-year technical certificate OR minimum 6months of aquatics/maintenance experience.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to pass OSHA respirator medical evaluation.
- Proficient in water chemistry, plumbing, and pump systems.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work outdoors in extreme weather, and stand/walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- AFO (Aquatic Facility Operator) certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Prior resort/hospitality experience.
- Knowledge of CMMS software and mobile work order systems.
