About the Role

Williams Parker, the region’s largest and oldest law firm founded in 1925, is seeking an experienced Construction Attorneys with litigation or transactional practices to join our dynamic and thriving team in Sarasota, Florida. Whether you are already licensed to practice law in Florida - or planning to relocate and willing to sit for the Florida Bar in the near future - you are encouraged to apply.

As a Construction Attorney at Williams Parker, you will handle a wide range of legal matters related to construction projects, including contract negotiation, project counseling, risk management, bid protests, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. You will work closely with clients to ensure their projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements and help them navigate through any issues that may arise during the construction process. Additionally, you will be an integral part of our team, collaborating with attorneys from various practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions to our clients.

  • Strong knowledge of construction law, including experience with contract negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Experience advising clients on construction-related contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management
  • Dedication to client service excellence in a fast-paced, collegial, and engaging environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction litigation
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or willingness to become a member of The Florida Bar in the near future
