About the Role

Company Description

The 25hours Hotel Paper Island, surrounded by water on Christiansholm, is just a short walk from Nyhavn. The island has been transformed into a vibrant new city neighborhood, featuring pioneering architecture by the award-winning COBE architects. These new buildings offer a fresh interpretation of harbor architecture, using concrete, brick, and timber. Inside the hotel, the design by STYLT Trampoli evokes the feel of a Scandinavian holiday home on a small island. Your journey to this Scandinavian retreat begins at the harbor-themed reception. The public spaces resemble a village, with a little shop reflecting the variety of items you might find there, from fishing gear to shoes to food. Once you make your way to our rooms or one our three dining outlets, you'll feel as though you’ve arrived at your holiday cottage.

Job Description

As our Kitchen Helper, you’ll support the kitchen team with the everyday tasks that keep things running smoothly. One day might be busy prep, another might be helping during service or dishwashing - trust us when we say that there will always be plenty to do.

Your tasks will include:

  • Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation
  • Keeping kitchen and work areas clean and organised
  • Washing dishes, equipment and kitchen utensils
  • Receiving and putting away deliveries
  • Helping with general kitchen tasks before, during and after service
  • Following our hygiene, food safety and health & safety standards
  • Jumping in where needed and being a team player

Qualifications

We think you’ll fit right in if you:

  • Are reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Like practical, hands-on work
  • Have a positive attitude and aren’t afraid to help wherever needed
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Are flexible and able to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Are available for a flexible 0-hour to part-time position 
  • Can communicate in English

Previous kitchen experience is great, but it’s not a requirement. We’ll show you what you need to know.
