What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.
Make your impact
You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.
What you’ll do
Technical Expertise & Support: Act as the primary technical resource for the effective and profitable application of Surface and Underground Mining Attachments products, including Ground Engaging Tools (GET). Provide daily technical guidance, application engineering, equipment sizing, and product selection to meet customer operational requirements. Success means delivering expert solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and product performance. Travel approximately one-third of the time to mining sites, including Western Australia and other regions, for site visits and customer engagement.
Product Management & Development: Own and maintain product specifications, technical documentation, and sales support materials. Support product lifecycle management including health reviews, portfolio optimization, and market introductions. Collaborate with global teams on product launches, field trials, and validation activities to drive portfolio growth.
Proposal & Tender Support: Prepare technical and commercial quotations, proposals, and tender submissions. Develop equipment sizing calculations, costing models, and technical specifications. Participate in bid processes, customer clarifications, and sales negotiations as required.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the key liaison between sales teams, engineering, product management, and customers. Conduct site visits and field assessments to understand operational challenges and validate product requirements. Deliver training, technical presentations, and demonstrations to customers and internal teams.
Governance & Quality Assurance: Coordinate warranty claims and corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution and compliance. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records and adhere to company policies and safety standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and fabrication partners to ensure successful product and project execution.
