PacAero is looking for a 2nd Shift Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Agawam, MA. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform high-precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly using microscopes, hand tools and detailed work instructions to produce components used in critical aerospace applications.


We’re looking for someone who is dependable, detail-focused and comfortable working with very small components. Previous assembly, electronics or precision manufacturing experience is preferred, particularly experience performing detailed work under a microscope.

What You’ll Do

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll perform small-scale mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly using microscopes, hand tools and precision techniques. You’ll work with small components, follow detailed work instructions and drawings, and inspect your work throughout the assembly process to ensure it meets quality requirements.


You’ll work closely with other Assembly team members, Quality and Engineering to keep production moving while maintaining the precision and quality our customers expect.


What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in assembly, electronics, precision manufacturing or a similar hands-on environment is preferred. Microscope assembly experience is highly valued. This role requires strong manual dexterity, fine motor skills and the ability to stay focused while performing detailed work under a microscope for extended periods.

Schedule: Full-time | Second Shift | Onsite in Agawam, MA | Monday–Thursday (4, 10-hour days)


This position is eligible for a second-shift differential.


As part of a manufacturing environment supporting customer demand, overtime may occasionally be required, including extended shifts or additional days when business needs arise.

Requirements

  •  Perform small-scale mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools and microscopes
  • Read and follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) to complete precision assemblies
  • Conduct in-process inspections and visual quality checks using microscopes and other applicable inspection tools
  • Accurately document completed work, including applicable rework, inspection and test information
  • Handle small components, tools and fixtures carefully to maintain product quality
  • Work collaboratively with Assembly, Quality and Engineering to resolve issues and support production requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized workstation, including microscope and assembly equipment
  • Follow established safety, quality and manufacturing procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Assembly Supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, electronics or a related environment preferred
  • Previous microscope assembly or inspection experience preferred
  • Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills for working with small components
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions, drawings and basic schematics
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Ability to remain focused while performing detailed microscope work for extended periods

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works in an active manufacturing environment and requires precision assembly work under a microscope. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.


The role may require sitting and working under a microscope for extended periods; repetitive use of hands and fingers to handle small components, tools and fixtures; sustained visual focus on detailed work; and occasionally lifting and moving materials or components weighing up to 25 pounds.


Expected Compensation

The anticipated pay range posted for this position represents PacAero (Litron, LLC)’s good-faith estimate of compensation for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, geographic market data, current market conditions, and the overall compensation and benefits package associated with the position, in accordance with applicable law and Company policy.
