Senior Human Resources Generalist

Description
About Quality Enclosures
Quality Enclosures operates multiple shower door manufacturing and distribution business units across five states (FL, NC, GA, TN, IN). Our culture is built on ownership, building long lasting relationships, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We hold each other accountable, put others ahead of ourselves, challenge the norm, run into the fire (though not literally), and enjoy a good laugh.
Our vision, mission, and values are not posters on a wall. They’re how we operate, think, and make decisions.
We don't do corporate bureaucracy. We do manufacturing. We do people. We do both well.
The Role
This position is based in our Port Orange, FL facility and serves as the primary HR presence on site. You’ll partner with a remote HR team and assist in supporting HR functions and initiatives through all Quality locations. You are not afraid to travel, but within reason. Home is where the heart is.
This is not a "sit in an office and push paper" role. It's roll-up-your-sleeves, own the day-to-day HR operations, and make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end recruitment and onboarding across multiple sites.
- Oversee employee relations. Counsel managers and staff, conduct investigations, and resolve workplace issues while maintaining confidentiality.
- Administer leave programs (FMLA and other leaves) and accommodations. Coordinate with benefits and payroll and manage return-to-work processes.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with vendors. Track outcomes and support progressive return-to-work plans.
- Oversee driver qualification files and ensure FMCSA compliance. Coordinate audits and driver-qualification activities.
- Support performance management, employee development, and manager coaching initiatives.
- Assist with safety initiatives and training to foster a compliant and safe workplace.
- Ensure legal and company policy compliance.
- Provide cross-location HR support as needed. Contribute to standardizing processes across sites.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong employee relations background in workplace investigations, coaching, conflict resolution.
- Solid working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' comp, and multi-state compliance.
- Full-cycle recruiting experience.
- HRIS proficiency (we use Paylocity; comparable systems welcome).
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or actively pursuing).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- The ability to travel up to 20% through day trips with some overnight travel.
- The flexibility needed to support manufacturing, which may on occasion require some work outside of the standard 8 – 5. Comfortable on the manufacturing floor. PPE is required and may impact a good hair day.
What Sets You Apart
- When a crisis hits (serious injury, sudden vacancy, tough ER case), you run toward it.
- You build trust with the plant manager in Port Orange, the production supervisor in NC, and the office manager in TN. It just comes naturally to you.
- You don't just complete a task. You analyze it, question it, and look for ways to make the process better.
- While not required, bilingual is a nice have. Unfortunately, the rest of the HR team left Spanish class behind at graduation.
- The ability to comfortably present to a group and keep them engaged.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: You’ve worked hard to gain professional experience.
- Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, critical illness, 401(k) with match, PTO, seven paid holidays, and a paid day off for your birthday.
- Growth trajectory: You are not boxed in. We’re a small team that loves to share responsibility.
- The satisfaction of building something: We don’t want to keep doing it the same way. Bring and share ideas and let’s execute.
