About the Role
Description:

This role is responsible for performing a diverse range of tasks related to the processing and assembly of pharmaceutical ingredients and finished products within a regulated manufacturing environment as part of a structured trainee program. The position learns to operate and monitor general manufacturing equipment including autoclaves, ovens, stills, and filtration apparatus under supervision to support production objectives. It involves the careful handling of raw materials as well as intermediate and finished pharmaceutical products to develop foundational skills in product integrity and quality maintenance. The role contributes to learning the mixing and compounding of ingredients for liquid products, suspensions, ointments, tablet granulations, and capsule powders in accordance with established formulations. General maintenance activities on equipment such as pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, and tablet compression machines are observed and performed under guidance to build operational competency. All activities are executed in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to meet regulatory requirements. Accurate and timely completion of batch records and manufacturing documentation is developed as a core skill. The position participates in process improvement initiatives to build awareness of quality, cost, and scheduling considerations within manufacturing process operations.


Essential Functions:
  • Learn to operate and monitor general manufacturing equipment including autoclaves, ovens, stills, and filtration apparatus under supervision in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Handle raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods under guidance to develop skills in maintaining product quality and preventing contamination.
  • Assist in mixing and compounding ingredients for liquid products, suspensions, ointments, tablet granulations, and capsule powders per approved formulations.
  • Observe and participate in general maintenance activities on pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, and tablet compression machines to build equipment knowledge.
  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures and develop skills in maintaining accurate batch documentation records in compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements including FDA and EMA guidelines.
  • Participate in functional team projects focused on developing awareness of process improvement methods to enhance quality, cost efficiency, and scheduling.
  • Support area cleaning and sanitization activities to maintain a compliant and safe manufacturing environment.
  • Develop foundational knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
