Summary/Objective

We are seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and results-oriented leader to build and lead the next generation of information systems, data architecture, and technology capabilities across a growing multi-entity manufacturing organization.

This is not a traditional IT support role. The Director of Information Systems & Data Strategy will serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and will be responsible for developing and executing the company's vision for systems architecture, data management, analytics, digital transformation, and business process optimization.

Our organization has recently completed a major business transformation including the separation of multiple operating businesses into distinct legal entities, migration to a multi-site cloud-based Infor Syteline ERP environment, implementation of HubSpot CRM, and development of Shopify-based eCommerce capabilities. We are now seeking a leader who can connect these systems into a unified business platform that drives operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate is a builder — someone who is comfortable operating strategically with executive leadership while also rolling up their sleeves to architect solutions, improve processes, evaluate technologies, and develop a high-performing team.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide Information Systems Leadership

• Develop and execute a multi-year technology and data strategy aligned with corporate objectives
• Serve as the internal owner and leader of all business systems initiatives
• Build and lead a modern Information Systems department from the ground up
• Establish governance, standards, processes, documentation, and best practices across all enterprise systems
• Identify, recruit, mentor, and develop future technology and data talent

2. Own Enterprise Systems & Architecture

• Own the strategic roadmap for Infor Syteline ERP, HubSpot CRM, Shopify eCommerce, reporting platforms, and future business applications
• Design and oversee enterprise system architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and integration
• Establish a “single source of truth” philosophy across customer, product, operational, and financial data
• Evaluate and recommend integration platforms, automation tools, and emerging technologies

3. Lead Data & Analytics Strategy

• Develop an enterprise-wide data strategy and governance framework
• Lead the creation of a centralized data warehouse and reporting environment
• Establish key performance indicators and reporting standards across all business units
• Drive adoption of data-driven decision making throughout the organization
• Partner with executive leadership to build dashboards and management reporting capabilities

4. Drive Process Improvement & Digital Transformation

• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to improve workflows and business processes
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and eliminate inefficiencies
• Lead initiatives that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and information visibility
• Serve as a catalyst for organizational change and technology adoption

5. Provide Team & Organizational Leadership

• Build trust and strong working relationships across departments
• Lead cross-functional project teams and business stakeholders
• Effectively communicate technology strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and improvement

Technical Competencies:

• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of business process flows, including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing Operations, and Customer Relationship Management
• Experience with Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) preferred
• Experience with HubSpot preferred
• Experience with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms preferred
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, including AI-enabled functionality, preferred
• Experience designing or supporting system integrations preferred
• Ability to evaluate and recommend integration platforms, automation tools, and emerging technologies

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
• 3-8 years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise applications, IT strategy, analytics, or technology leadership
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and influencing stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience with Infor Syteline (CloudSuite Industrial)
• Experience with HubSpot
• Experience with Shopify or eCommerce platforms
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools leveraging AI functionality
• Experience designing or supporting system integrations
• Prior management or team leadership experience
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, or distribution environments

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is responsible for building and leading the Information Systems department, including recruiting, mentoring, and developing technology and data talent.

Work Environment

This job operates mainly in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting, bending, stooping, and standing is necessary. Mental alertness and long periods of concentration are required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Some domestic travel may be required.
