POSITION SUMMARY
Corporate Engagement Manager (CEM) cultivates individual and corporate investments in UWSL through year-round management of workplace giving campaigns, corporate gifts/grants and sponsorship, as well as coordinating corporate volunteers to support community-wide UWSL and Promise Partnership events. The CEGM will work as a part of the Corporate Engagement Team to increase revenue from all aspects of corporate partnership by finding deeper alignment with corporate philanthropic values and further positioning UWSL as experts in community investment and employee engagement.
PRIMARY TASKS: Manage logistics of 65+ workplace giving campaigns, including coaching employee campaign managers, coordinating schedules, presentations, and communications, and managing processing systems and reporting. Additionally, own and manage a portfolio of corporate grant opportunities from initial prospect development and cultivation through application, award management, stewardship, reporting, and renewal. Maintain funder relationships, track deadlines and deliverables, and ensure each opportunity is managed strategically throughout the full grant lifecycle. Deepen corporate partnerships by aligning corporate philanthropic dollars with UWSL priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Employee Workplace Engagement: Giving Campaigns & Volunteerism
- Lead and oversee workplace giving campaigns for a portfolio of corporate partners (65+ companies each requiring different levels of support by articulating UWSL’s mission and vision through strategic workplace presentations and individual engagement.
- Own the end-to-end project management of workplace giving campaigns, including planning, execution, data collection, reporting, performance evaluation, and the development of recommendations to improve campaign outcomes.
- Analyze, research and share campaign data with individual engagement team members to support donor recruitment strategies and the transition of campaign donors into long-term United Way of Salt Lake supporters.
- Collaborate with internal engagement teams to align workplace campaigns with broader giving, volunteerism, and sponsorship strategies, ensuring a cohesive corporate partner experience.
- Serve as a liaison for corporate partners and Employee Campaign Managers (ECMs) regarding corporate volunteer engagement opportunities, leveraging established relationships to connect partners with the Director, Volunteer Engagement for volunteer planning and execution.
- Coordinate with the Director and Manager of Volunteer Engagement and Promise Partnership team to support corporate donation drives and in-kind efforts that benefit UWSL community schools and partners and support the implementation of corporate volunteer engagement events.
Corporate Grants Management
- Manage a portfolio of corporate grant opportunities, including prospect research, identification of new funding sources, proposal and application development, submission tracking, award management, reporting, stewardship
- Collaborate with VP, Donor Engagement & VP, Grants and Strategic Partnerships, and Grants Manager on strategies to increase corporate philanthropic investment and support United Way of Salt Lake's mission and priorities. The CEGM will be assisted by a team of experts in this function!
- Cultivate and steward relationships with corporate funders and prospects to strengthen partnerships, increase renewal and retention rates, and identify opportunities to grow corporate grant revenue and multi-year investment.
Employee Campaign Manager (ECM) Engagement and Stewardship
- Identify, maintain, and update accurate Employee Campaign Manager (ECM) contact records for corporate partners to support effective communication and successful workplace giving campaigns.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate ECM trainings in the fall and spring to prepare ECMs with tools, resources, and best practices needed to lead successful workplace campaigns.
- Develop and contribute content ideas for the monthly Corporate Engagement Newsletter to support consistent, year-round communication with ECMs, including campaign resources, timelines, and engagement strategies.
- Provide ongoing ECM stewardship and support through regular communication, one-on-one check-ins, and timely responses to ensure ECMs feel prepared, valued, and supported before, during, and after campaign season.
Salesforce and Giving Platform Management
- Build and manage custom GiveSmart and FrontStream giving pages for workplace campaigns, providing corporate partners with tailored pledge experiences that include credit card, one-time payroll, and recurring payroll giving options.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute campaign progress reports to track giving activity and proactively update Employee Campaign Managers (ECMs) throughout the campaign cycle.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of how to process and accurately record donations in Salesforce, ensuring gifts are properly coded, attributed, and documented in alignment with UWSL data standards.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce by applying best practices for gift entry, campaign tracking, and reporting to support reliable forecasting, stewardship, and organizational decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce across the full corporate donor lifecycle, from prospect identification and cultivation through solicitation, award, stewardship, reporting, renewal, and re-engagement. Track key interactions, revenue, and relationship history to support pipeline management.
Corporate Partnership and Sponsorship Development
- Assist with implementing new strategies and best practices to strengthen resource development results for volunteerism via conversion to new individual donors, increased corporate gifts, employee giving campaigns, grants, event sponsorships, in-kind donations, and more
- Cultivate and oversee authentic relationships with current and prospective corporate donors and community organizations with strong executive-level attention through personal contact, including phone calls, email, and written correspondence.
- Assist with follow-up on special event sponsorship proposal submission and stewardship, including sponsorship benefit fulfillment.
- Support new business prospecting, networking, and engagement with the Corporate Engagement Manager and Vice President of Donor Engagement.

- Understands marketplace, works to meet prospect/donor needs, effective closing technique.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-4 years of sales, project or relationship management experience, fundraising experience preferred
- Proficient at Microsoft and Google Suites – proven skill in Excel
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software; Salesforce preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The team member is regularly required to communicate clearly, in oral and written formats, with others in person, over the phone and via other devices. The team member must be able to transcribe, read extensively, prepare and analyze data and figures, and constantly operate a computer and other standard office machinery. The team member is required to regularly travel to offsite locations to set up presentations and displays in physical and electronic forms. The team member must have the ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50lbs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The position is a full-time, non-exempt position with full benefits. $50,813 – 56,458 . Salary commensurate with experience. UWSL/UP provides a wide range of benefits, including:
