The Role

As an Environmental Science Intern, you will support professionals working on environmental assessments, permitting, compliance, remediation, and sustainability projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to field data collection, environmental regulations, technical reporting, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery while contributing to active assignments with guidance from experienced professionals.  

What You’ll Do

• Assist with environmental reports, assessments, permit materials, research, and project documentation. 
• Support field activities such as sampling, site observations, surveys, and data collection. 
• Help evaluate environmental conditions, compliance requirements, and potential mitigation measures.

What You’ll Learn

• How environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and technical standards are applied to real projects. 
• How field information is collected, analyzed, documented, and communicated in technical deliverables. 
• How environmental professionals coordinate with engineers, planners, scientists, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. 
• Completion of relevant environmental, science, engineering, or technical coursework. 
• Basic understanding of environmental principles and regulatory concepts. 
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical research or data tools.

Preferred

• Internship, co-op, laboratory, field, or research experience related to environmental projects. 
• Familiarity with GIS, environmental sampling, permitting, or modeling tools. 
• Involvement in environmental, sustainability, or related professional organizations.
