The Colliers Engineering and Design team specialises in civil, infrastructure, water engineering, town planning and urban design. Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.

Join Colliers Engineering & Design as a Principal – Water & Wastewater (Construction), where you'll lead delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, and municipal developments. We're delivering a significant pipeline of large trunk infrastructure including several water reservoirs, large trunk mains, and regional water and wastewater pump stations across South East Queensland.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys managing projects, building client relationships, developing teams, and contributing to business growth.

About the Role

• Lead and oversee water and wastewater construction projects from delivery through to completion.
• Act as a key contact for clients, contractors, councils, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide expert guidance on construction administration, site inspections, quality assurance, and defect management.
• Manage contracts, variations, contractor claims, and commercial negotiations.
• Lead tender preparation, evaluation, and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Mentor, coach, and support the growth of team members.

We're looking for an experienced water and wastewater professional who brings:

• Strong technical knowledge and experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Demonstrated project delivery and construction administration experience.
• Experience with AS 2124 / AS 4000 contracts and commercial negotiations.
• Strong client management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with tenders, contract documentation, and construction oversight.
• A proactive approach to business development and team growth.
• Relevant professional qualifications, with RPEQ/CPEng experience for applicable responsibilities.
