Job Description
Role: Plant HR Executive
CTC: 3.5 LPA to 5 LPA
Working Days: Mon - Sat (9am - 6pm)
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Onsite Plant HR Executive to manage day-to-day HR activities at the factory and shop floor. The role will involve regular interaction with employees, supervisors, and management to ensure smooth workforce operations, attendance, payroll, hiring, employee relations, statutory compliance, safety, and engagement.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on the shop floor, handling employee queries, coordinating with multiple teams, and resolving day-to-day HR issues quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Attendance, Leave & Workforce Management
- Monitor daily attendance, shift timings, breaks, and leave records.
- Track absenteeism, late coming, and unauthorized leave.
- Coordinate with supervisors for shift and manpower requirements.
- Ensure attendance and HR policies are followed across all shifts.
2. Recruitment & Hiring
- Coordinate hiring for shop-floor and factory positions.
- Manage walk-in interviews and urgent manpower requirements.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate with candidates and hiring managers.
- Support the complete recruitment process from sourcing to joining.
3. Joining & Employee Onboarding
- Complete joining formalities and document verification.
- Coordinate approvals and employee registration.
- Conduct induction programs for new employees.
- Ensure new employees understand company policies, safety rules, SOPs, and workplace expectations.
4. Payroll & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare payroll/pay register based on attendance and leave data.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing and resolve employee payroll queries.
- Generate and release employee payslips.
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
- Support PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax enrollment and monthly/periodic returns.
- Maintain statutory records and support compliance audits.
5. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Handle employee grievances and coordinate with the relevant teams for resolution.
- Maintain positive relationships with shop-floor and blue-collar employees.
- Escalate critical employee issues to HR management on time.
6. Shop-Floor HR & Workforce Monitoring
- Maintain regular HR presence on the factory/shop floor.
- Interact with employees and supervisors on a daily basis.
- Monitor discipline, workforce behavior, and adherence to workplace rules.
- Support management in resolving day-to-day workforce issues.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Support implementation of factory safety rules and guidelines.
- Monitor employee compliance with PPE and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Production and Safety teams for safety programs and audits.
- Support regular compliance checks and corrective actions.
8. Training & Employee Engagement
- Coordinate safety, skill, induction, and refresher training programs.
- Manage training schedules, attendance, and documentation.
- Support employee engagement activities and shop-floor initiatives.
- Coordinate small-group meetings and employee communication sessions.
9. Exit & Separation
- Handle resignation communication and exit formalities.
- Coordinate employee clearance with relevant departments.
- Maintain exit documentation and records.
- Coordinate with HR and Accounts for final settlement.
10. HR Documentation & MIS
- Maintain employee files, records, contracts, and statutory documents.
- Prepare regular HR reports on attendance, hiring, attrition, payroll, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate HR data and ensure records are audit-ready.
- Provide timely HR MIS and updates to management
11. Management Support
- Provide daily updates on attendance, manpower, employee issues, and HR activities.
- Support workforce planning and shift allocation.
- Escalate critical employee and operational issues to management.
- Support implementation of HR policies and processes across departments.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in HR Operations, Factory HR, Plant HR, or Shop-Floor HR.
- Experience working with factory/manufacturing or blue-collar workforce will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of attendance, payroll, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and basic labour compliance.
- Hands-on experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and exit processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels, especially shop-floor and blue-collar employees.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS/payroll systems.
- Should be proactive, approachable, and comfortable working independently on the factory floor.
- Ability to handle multiple HR activities and resolve day-to-day employee issues quickly.
