About the Role

Job Summary:

The specialist role is essential for supporting and elevating continuous quality improvement while enhancing the effectiveness of ASCP organizational advancements and assuring positive outcomes for all constituents, both internal and external.

  • Supports and elevates continuous quality improvement.
  • Utilizes technical writing skills to develop and maintain SOPs, work guides, and additional controlled documents.
  • Optimizes the use of controlled documents by ASCP team members, ensuring development and implementation of internal processes and procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities for optimization of workflows. 
  • Manages and maintains ASCP controlled documents, including:
  • ASCP contract database
  • Enterprise-wide controlled document framework and related proposals
  • Volunteer program resources and documentation, internal and public facing

Ability to work independently and as a team member. Exceptional communication skills. Strong technical writing skills. Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines as needed. Proficient in computer skills for program administration and database management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops full functionality for Controlled Document Portal for ASCP team members to include:
  • SOPs
  • Work Guides
  • Templates
  • Resources
  • Other controlled assets as deemed appropriate
  • Manages and maintains ASCP controlled documents through Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains ASCP SOPs, work guides, forms, and resources.
  • Manages and maintains the ASCP contract database.
  • Develops and manages annual review of enterprise-wide ASCP controlled documents.
  • Serves as a resource for ASCP team members for problem-solving and decision-making regarding ASCP controlled documents.
  • Identifies and documents optimizations for workflows.
  • Assists with other duties assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to organize, structure, and communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Effective technical writing skills.
  • Utilizes proper grammar and vocabulary in both verbal and written usage. 
  • Demonstrates effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with time-sensitive components.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and analytical ability to evaluate and ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to identify problems, consider alternatives, consult with peers, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member. 
  • Ability to be punctual and reliable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of database management systems.
  • Proficient in clerical procedures and systems such as record keeping and filing.

Education and Experience:

  • Baccalaureate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years business experience.
