External Claims Adjuster

You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and domestic property claims from initial notification through to settlement, using your property expertise, investigation and problem-solving skills to deliver positive outcomes for customers and clients.

What You Will Do

• Manage property claims from notification through to settlement
• Inspect damage, investigate causes and assess losses
• Review coverage and make sound settlement recommendations
• Coordinate trades, specialists and service providers
• Manage reserves, costs and claim documentation
• Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate records
• Deliver timely, compliant and customer-focused outcomes

What You Will Bring

You will be confident working independently, enjoys solving problems and builds strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. You will bring:

• Experience in loss adjusting, claims management, property, construction, building or trades
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and report-writing skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions
• A customer-focused approach, with empathy and professionalism
• A current driver’s licence and Australian/New Zealand work rights
• A willingness to complete a police check and continue developing your expertise
• Insurance knowledge, relevant qualifications or CILA/ANZIIF membership are desirable
