About the Role
INFECTION PREVENTION
FULL-TIME / 8:00 A - 5:00 P / 80 HOURS PER PAY

The Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for the oversight of daily prevention activities to achieve program’s goals with the system/organizational strategic priorities. The role is developed from the needs of the entire Premier Partners system and hospital community to reduce the risk of infection for patients, all staff and visitors. The IP collaborates with persons clinically responsible for inpatient and outpatient departments as well as non-patient care support areas based on interpretation and evaluation of CMS, CDC, OSHA, ODH, APIC, TJC, and EPA guidelines, standards and/or regulations or other standards related to infection control and epidemiology. |
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Public Health or other discipline preferred.
Licensure: Current State of Ohio licensure as Registered Nurse, if applicable.
Certification: Certification in Infection Control strongly preferred.
Experience: Three years clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting required.
