Job Description

The CI Lead is the process improvement leader within our LCS. The CI Lead drives the business rocess improvement function strategically and with a global mindset for the business. He or she identifies opportunities, scopes projects, tracks benefits, and forecasts resources to achieve productivity, quality and service improvement targets aligned with business priorities, financial improvements, and customer issues. The CI Lead is responsible to select, train, assign, direct and manage the activities of the team of Black Belts and Green Belts, ensure they are employing prescribed Lean Six Sigma methodologies and techniques and have clear project charters and objectives.


The CI Lead partners with the business leadership team in setting and achieving specific goals around Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiatives. This includes working with key leaders both functionally and strategically to implement overall improvements in specific areas for multiple

businesses. Develops and coordinates all LSS improvement plans across the organization and assures that plans are reflected in forecasts and verifies results. Assures appropriate objective metrics are in place and being utilized. He or she applies their business and functional expertise, identifies ideas with business leaders and Lean Six Sigma to create and influence opportunities for quality, service, and productivity improvements throughout the organization.



Your Responsibilities:


• Manages and directs the strategic process improvement and control initiatives for the LCS

business. Leads from initiative conception through implementation.

• Advises business groups and provides strategic direction on initiative selection,

integration, resources and prioritization.

• Manages and reports all financial aspects of assigned projects.

• Demonstrates awareness, knowledge and guidance of Lean Six Sigma principles,

methodologies and tools, and drives the development and enhancement of measurement

and analytical methodologies.

• Provides leadership the team of Black Belts and guidance and mentoring for those Green

Belts supporting the business.

• Partners with business leaders in identifying potential business opportunities in the area of

process improvement, while driving business results through the power of influence and

the engagement of Lean Enterprise principles, methodologies and tools in identified areas

of opportunity.

• Instills a sense of urgency and drives problems towards resolution.

• Ability to lead and motivate a team while managing a geographically dispersed

organization.

• Responsible for the plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing for projects which are of

significant and strategic importance to the solutions business.

• Ensures initiative alignment with business vision, strategy and deployment within

company.

• Responsible for meeting project goals, schedules, and business targets.

• Takes into account the global impact of local activities and decision.


The Essentials - You Will Have:


• Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or Project

Management or Business Administration.

• Minimum 5 years in the relevant field.

• Demonstrated leadership in change leadership and driving project success.

• Requires previous project management experience.


The Preferred - You Might Also Have:


• Understanding of Six Sigma. Preferably a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or

Master Black Belt or Lean certification.

• Typically possesses experience in a solutions-based business or manufacturing.
