Mobile Mechanic

Summary:

The role of the Mobile Mechanic Technician is to assist in the repair and diagnoses of farm machinery at the direction of the Repair and Maintenance Supervisor. Repairs could be needed at different farm locations as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, and diagnose issues on farm machinery, such as tractors, vehicles, harvesters, etc.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all farm-related equipment as instructed and or needed.

• Identify potential preventive maintenance processes and report findings to Supervisor. 

• Create and maintain relevant data information records for all farm equipment.

• Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of hand tools and power tools required to complete all tasks assigned.

• Complete required paperwork, such as daily reports, service/repair records, invoices, and time records in a timely manner.

• Assist in identifying purchasing trends and track inventory for normal service parts, coordinate regular ordering schedule to ensure shop has adequate parts needed on regular basis, with Supervisor approval.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Follow all safety and PPE guidelines

• Responsible for the proper care and security of all tools used and or provided.

• The ability to professionally communicate with vendors to order and obtain parts and supplies as directed or needed.

• High School Diploma

• 4-7 years of mechanical experience

• Valid Driver’s License

• Clean driving record

• Availability to drive for prolonged periods

• Bilingual – English/Spanish

• Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the business.

• Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance to Employee Handbook Policies.

• Ability to meet all security requirements and/or pass a drug and alcohol test.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Industry knowledge

• Mechanic diesel certifications

• Welding knowledge and certifications
