You’ll play an important role in recognizing student needs, addressing challenges that can affect school performance, and helping educators put meaningful academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports in place.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Contribute to student support and educational planning.
- Support an inclusive and welcoming school environment.
- Maintain appropriate student records and documentation.
- Conduct classroom, behavioral, and student observations.
- Assist with intervention development and progress monitoring.
- Promote positive behavioral and social-emotional development.
- Identify academic, behavioral, social, and emotional support needs.
Requirements
Applicant must hold a master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or Educational Psychology, along with a valid Illinois PEL with School Psychology endorsement and a state license as a School Psychologist. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills are essential to success in this role.
