Optical Worker

The Optical Worker – Store person will accurately & efficiently assemble and dispatch all order types, receive and put away inbound stock and any other warehouse duties that are required.

Responsibilities

• Order assembly using Voice Pick or a handheld RF device.
• Packing and Scanning orders for dispatch using JDA Pack Stations or Multi Scanner Stations.
• Unpack, sort, and put away incoming goods using handheld RF devices and ensure the task is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Replenish warehouse locations accurately and efficiently using handheld RF devices.
• Accurately cycle count of stock using a handheld RF device.
• Operation of materials handling equipment.
• Training of new or casual staff in the order assembly process, scanning and RF handheld use.
• Work as a team member helping to contribute to the department’s achievement of the KPIs.
• Follow work instructions and procedures.
• Work safely and adhere to company safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar warehousing role
• The ability to work unsupervised and highly motivated with a can-do attitude
• Available to work overtime when necessary
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Good understanding of WHS requirements
