Senior DevOps Engineer - Tieto Banktech

We are looking for two Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Engineer) to join our Platform Engineering team and help us build production-ready, resilient platform foundations with Terraform, automated deployment pipelines, and reliable cloud operations at enterprise scale.

What you will contribute to
Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain enterprise Azure infrastructure using Terraform and modular engineering patterns.
• Automate end-to-end resource provisioning and lifecycle management via GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to reusable deployment modules and automated cloud governance templates that can be adopted and improved by the wider engineering organization.

Azure Platform Engineering

• Help evolve and scale enterprise Azure Landing Zones together with the team, adhering to high availability and security benchmarks.
• Partner with development teams to accelerate cloud adoption, offering paved-road developer platforms and self-service capabilities.
• Standardize hybrid networking, API management, and identity integration across multi-tenant banking environments.

Operations & Reliability Engineering

• Ensure maximum availability and performance for business-critical SaaS products running in Azure.
• Monitor platform health, establish pro-active alerts, and contribute to root-cause analysis for complex operational challenges.
• Bring a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to continuously elevate platform resiliency and performance together with the team.

Cloud security & compliance

• Implement robust zero-trust security controls and identity management using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Secure secrets, keys, and certificates via Azure Key Vault and automated vault rotators.

• Ensure platform compliance with strict Nordic financial regulation standards and security audits.

What brings you success in this role

Must-Haves:

• Deep Terraform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience writing modular, production-ready Infrastructure as Code.

• Solid Azure Engineering Background: Strong experience with AKS, APIM, Azure SQL, Entra ID, and cloud networking (VNets, Private Endpoints, Firewalls).
• Operational Resilience Mindset: Hands-on experience troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining high-availability enterprise applications.
• Automation-First Philosophy: Strong background in CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps) and scriptable workflows.
• Collaborative Engineering Mindset: You enjoy working as part of a strong team, sharing knowledge openly, giving and receiving feedback, and helping colleagues grow.
• Strong Infrastructure Engineering Competence: Proven ability to design, implement, secure, and troubleshoot resilient infrastructure across networking, compute, storage, identity, and platform services in enterprise environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with enterprise Kubernetes administration (AKS) & container security.
• Familiarity with observability stacks like Open Telemetry, Grafana, or Application Insights.
• Background in DevSecOps practices within regulated environments (Financial Services, Fintech, or Healthcare).
