Meade District Hospital is looking for a Part-Time Experienced Scrub Tech.

**Hours spent in Central Supply will depending on how many surgeries are scheduled each week.

Reports To: Director of Surgical Services

Are you passionate about patient care and looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative surgical environment? We are seeking a dedicated Certified Scrub Technologist to join our nursing services team on a part-time basis!

Position Summary

In this role, you will interact professionally with patients, families, and co-workers. You will provide the surgeon with appropriate equipment while strictly adhering to aseptic technique and infection control guidelines to ensure optimal outcomes for every surgical patient. 

Key Responsibilities

• Surgical Support: Prepare the operating room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each procedure.
  
• Intra-Operative Care: Anticipate the needs of the surgeon, assist in positioning, prepping, and draping patients, and carry out medical and surgical asepsis.
  
• Safety & Compliance: Accurately complete counts, maintain a safe environment, and properly handle and care for specimens and instruments (including cleaning, processing, and sterilization monitoring).
  
• Collaboration: Function independently while maintaining flexibility, personal integrity, and effective communication with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Scrub Technologist Training program.   
• Certification is encouraged, and certification must be maintained by obtaining continuing education credits.   
• Some experience required.
• Classified as an OSHA risk category I position, indicating a potential risk for exposure to blood or body fluids.
