Position Summary 

HGreg is seeking skilled automotive reconditioning professionals for the following positions: ● Autobody Technician / Body Repair Technician 

● Paintless Dent Remover 

● Automotive Painter 

These positions are responsible for restoring vehicles to excellent structural and cosmetic condition while meeting HGreg’s standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 

Autobody Technician / Body Repair Technician / Paintless Dent Remover Key Responsibilities 

● Inspect vehicles for dents, dings, scratches, collision damage, and structural or cosmetic imperfections. 

● Perform body repairs, including panel repair, replacement, alignment, and adjustment. ● Repair or replace bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, quarter panels, rocker panels, trunk lids, and other body components. 

● Perform paintless dent removal for door dings, hail damage, creases, and minor dents when appropriate. 

● Use body fillers, welding equipment, pulling equipment, measuring tools, and other repair tools as required. 

● Remove, install, and adjust body panels, trim, moldings, lights, bumpers, sensors, and related components. 

● Inspect vehicle damage and identify required repair procedures and parts. ● Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing by sanding, filling, masking, priming, and sealing. ● Follow manufacturer repair procedures and approved safety standards. 

● Ensure proper panel fit, body alignment, gaps, contours, and structural integrity. ● Conduct quality-control inspections of completed repairs. 

● Communicate additional damage, parts requirements, and repair concerns to management. ● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 

● Complete repairs efficiently while meeting established production schedules.

Qualifications 

● Previous experience as a body repair technician, autobody technician, collision repair technician, or paintless dent repair technician. 

● Knowledge of vehicle body construction, repair procedures, panel replacement, and alignment. 

● Experience with dent repair, body fillers, sanding, welding, pulling, and body-panel installation. 

● Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and body repair machinery. ● Ability to determine when paintless dent repair or conventional body repair is appropriate. ● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. 

● I-CAR, ASE, manufacturer, or other industry certifications are an asset. 

● High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

● Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required. 

● Ability to lift, bend, stand, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods. 

Automotive Painter 

Key Responsibilities 

● Inspect vehicles and repair orders to determine refinishing requirements. ● Prepare repaired panels and vehicle surfaces for refinishing. 

● Sand, feather, fill, prime, seal, mask, and block surfaces as required. 

● Mix and match automotive paint colors according to manufacturer specifications. ● Apply primer, sealer, basecoat, clearcoat, and other refinishing products. ● Blend paint to achieve an accurate color match and seamless finish. 

● Operate spray booths, spray guns, paint-mixing equipment, and related tools safely. ● Identify and correct paint defects such as runs, sags, orange peel, dirt, and color mismatch. ● Polish and finish painted surfaces. 

● Maintain paint equipment, work areas, and inventory. 

● Follow all environmental, hazardous-material, and workplace safety requirements.
