Local Marketing & Community Engagement Manager

Description
Job Summary
Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is a full-service casual dining sports bar known for its energetic gameday atmosphere, scratch-made food, and unmatched hospitality. We're looking for a dynamic, high-energy marketer who loves being out in the community and inside our restaurants. You'll be the link between corporate marketing and our local stores. You'll make sure every restaurant has a complete, active marketing calendar, carries out brand initiatives well, and builds real relationships in the neighborhoods it serves.
This is a field role, not a desk job. You'll spend most of your week on the road, visiting restaurants, meeting community partners, and representing our brand at local events.
Duties/Responsibilities
Local Store Marketing (LSM)
· Build and manage monthly and quarterly local marketing calendars for each restaurant together with General Managers
· Make sure each restaurant's calendar is complete, approved, and turned in on time
· Build community catering partnerships via in-person visits, introductions and salesmanship to drive sales
· Plan and carry out local promotions, fundraisers, giveback nights, and in-store events
· Track LSM spend against budget for each location
· Measure results (traffic, sales lift, redemptions, guest counts) and report what works
Community Engagement
· Active involvement and presence within local Chambers / Business organizations
· Find and build partnerships with schools, churches, youth sports, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, and local businesses
· Represent the brand at community events, festivals, sponsorships, and catering opportunities
· Build a pipeline of recurring community events and fundraising nights for each restaurant
· Serve as the local face of the brand and build goodwill in every market
Corporate Initiative Execution
· Roll out corporate marketing campaigns, LTOs, menu launches, and brand programs at every location
· Check in-store execution during visits: POP materials, signage, merchandising, promo readiness, and team knowledge
· Hold follow-ups with GMs and report compliance and gaps to leadership
· Train restaurant teams on upcoming promotions and how to execute them
Event Planning & Creative Ideas
· Plan and run events from start to finish: grand openings, restaurant milestone celebrations, holiday party planning and in-restaurant spirit
· Keep a steady flow of fresh, creative ideas for local activities, themed events, and ways to engage guests
· Keep up with restaurant, hospitality, and pop culture trends, and turn them into ideas each location can act on (social media content)
· Bring new concepts to leadership and GMs regularly, with clear plans / direction for execution
Internal Competitions & Team Engagement
· Create and run internal competitions between restaurants and teams (upselling contests, sales challenges, promo execution contests, best community event, social media challenges)
· Track results, keep leaderboards, and recognize winners to build friendly competition and team morale
· Work with operations to tie competitions to sales goals, guest experience, and company initiatives
· Keep restaurant teams excited and invested in marketing programs
Social Media Support
· Give each restaurant current, creative ideas for social posts, including trends, reels and TikTok concepts, captions, hashtags, and timely content
· Create simple content guides, monthly post idea calendars, and "how-to" tips so restaurant teams can capture good photos and videos
· Collect content from the field (events, team moments, food shots, community stories) for local and corporate channels
· Watch local page activity and engagement, share best practices, and make sure posts stay on brand
Collaboration & Reporting
· Work closely with GMs, Area/District Managers, and the corporate marketing team
· Give feedback from the field on what guests and communities are responding to; provide summaries, ideas and solutions
· Keep a shared tracker of calendars, events, initiatives, and results for each restaurant
· Help with social media content from the field (photos, event coverage, local stories)
