We are looking for an experienced Manager of Information Systems to lead the technology infrastructure that keeps our clinical and administrative teams connected, secure, and running smoothly. This role combines technical expertise with strong leadership, working closely with internal team members and external partners to ensure MCHC’s systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational needs. What You’ll Do

• Lead MCHC’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, telecommunications, hardware, software, and cloud services across multiple sites.
• Maintain reliable and secure LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, server, virtual, workstation, laptop, mobile device, and VoIP environments.
• Manage cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, encryption, MFA, patching, access management, and incident response.
• Implement HIPAA Security Rule and HITECH safeguards and address risks identified through Security Risk Assessments.
• Maintain and test IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans and coordinate technology recovery during outages or emergencies.
• Manage databases, data architecture, backups, integrations, and secure data exchange, including HL7/FHIR and other clinical interfaces.
• Lead and develop the Information Systems team while serving as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Manage IT vendors, software licensing, equipment procurement, documentation, audit support, and infrastructure and security recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent technical experience, or 3–5 years of IT management experience with at least 2 years in a regulated healthcare environment.
• 2+ years of experience managing teams, including participating in hiring and providing day-to-day work direction.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, the HIPAA Security Rule, and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Broad knowledge of IT systems, applications, databases, financial systems, networks, telecommunications, hardware, and software.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and crisis management experience.

Technical Qualifications

• Systems & Cloud: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, VMware/Hyper-V, and infrastructure and security best practices.
• Networking & Telecom: Ability to work with internal team members and external partners to evaluate routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, and network capabilities and ensure solutions align with operational needs and industry best practices.
• Cybersecurity: Experience supporting cybersecurity programs aligned with NIST/CIS frameworks, including EDR/MDR solutions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), patch management, and Security Risk Assessments (SRA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 6 years of networking experience in a healthcare setting, or 15+ years of equivalent healthcare IT experience in a leadership role.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or other regulated healthcare environment.
• Experience with EHR/PM platforms and external Health Information Exchange (HIE) interfaces.
