IT Systems and Compliance Specialist (18 Month Contract)

Summary:

The IT Systems & Compliance Specialist supports Burloak Technologies' cybersecurity compliance, business systems, and day-to-day technology needs, with an initial focus on supporting the Company's CMMC 2.0 certification. Working with internal stakeholders, I3D corporate resources, external consultants, and IT service providers, this role executes compliance activities and supports ongoing IT and business systems needs. As business needs evolve, the position will also support future systems initiatives, including the planned Epicor implementation and PRISM.

This is an 18-month contract position with the potential for extension or permanent employment based on evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

CMMC 2.0 & Cybersecurity Compliance 

• Support the Company's preparation for CMMC 2.0 certification by coordinating and executing activities, action items, and remediation efforts identified by internal stakeholders, I3D corporate resources, external consultants, and IT service providers.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls, processes, policies, procedures, and system documentation.
• Coordinate and maintain documentation and evidence required to support CMMC certification and ongoing compliance.
• Support user access management, security permissions, cybersecurity awareness training, and the implementation of IT-related policies and procedures.
• Track CMMC activities and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to support timely completion.

Business Systems Support

• Support the use, implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of company business systems, including Epicor, PRISM and future enterprise platforms.
• Participate in system implementations, upgrades, testing, data management, documentation, and user adoption initiatives.
• Work with internal departments, corporate resources, consultants, and software partners on system implementation activities
• Assist with the development and maintenance of system procedures, workflows, and user documentation.
• Provide ongoing user support and identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology.

IT Support & External Provider Coordination

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for day-to-day IT support, providing hands-on assistance with basic technology issues and escalating more complex matters as required. 
• Coordinate with the Company's external IT service provider on support tickets, projects, system changes, and resolution timelines. 
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding technology requirements, including equipment, system access, and permissions. 
• Support IT equipment and software procurement and maintain accurate hardware, software, license, and equipment records.
• Assist with technology projects, implementations, and process improvements as business needs evolve. 
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the businesss

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, business systems, ERP administration, systems administration, or a related technical role.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot new systems, platforms, and tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, Active Directory/user account management, hardware troubleshooting, basic networking concepts, and help desk/ticketing systems.
• Experience supporting ERP or other enterprise system.
• Strong documentation, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, external IT providers, consultants, and software vendors.
• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with CMMC 2.0, cybersecurity frameworks, or experience supporting cybersecurity or compliance initiatives.
• Experience with Epicor, Power Bi, or other ERP/business systems.
• Experience supporting an ERP implementation, system upgrade, or other significant technology project.
• Experience working in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or another regulated environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or other related IT/cybersecurity certifications are considered an asset.

Pay Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 CAD annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
