The Opportunity
The Corporate IT Operations Engineer is responsible for providing enterprise-wide operational support for core IT infrastructure, identity services, and day-to-day technology operations across Richline Group subsidiaries. Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, this role serves as a primary operational escalation resource between Service Desk teams and Senior Network/System Administrators.
The position supports the operational health of defined infrastructure platforms and access services, helping ensure that routine administration, technical escalations, audit-related activities, and operational requests are handled efficiently while senior technical resources remain focused on complex systems and major initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Core Infrastructure Operations
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Microsoft Windows Server environments, including availability, service health, routine administration, and troubleshooting.
- Support enterprise virtualization environments, including virtual machine provisioning, operational health, capacity monitoring, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, scheduled updates, and operational readiness for security patching in partnership with Senior Network/System Administrators and Cybersecurity.
- Support enterprise infrastructure services and ensure operational issues are documented, tracked, and resolved or escalated appropriately.
Identity & Access Management Operations
- Serve as the primary operational resource for day-to-day identity and access administration, including user lifecycle activities, authentication troubleshooting, group membership, and approved access changes.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, account creation and deactivation, password and authentication issues, and approved permission changes.
- Coordinate operational execution of User Access Reviews (UARs), access evidence preparation, and remediation activities in partnership with GRC, Cybersecurity, and business owners.
- Maintain accurate documentation and evidence for access-related operational activities.
Service Desk Escalation & Ticket Governance
- Act as a primary escalation point for Service Desk teams for administrative requests, infrastructure-related incidents, and access or authentication issues.
- Triage and reassign ITSM tickets to the appropriate technical function and help ensure routine requests are resolved at the appropriate support level.
- Promote consistent ticket categorization, documentation, assignment, and escalation practices.
- Provide technical guidance to Service Desk personnel on recurring operational issues and documented procedures.
Microsoft, Network & Endpoint Operations
- Support Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administrative functions within established standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and authentication issues across endpoints, servers, identity systems, and networks.
- Apply working knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, VPN, firewalls, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Support endpoint and server patching activities, maintenance windows, deployment validation, failure troubleshooting, and remediation follow-up.
Audit & Compliance Support
- Support Cybersecurity and GRC audits by collecting operational evidence, validating access and configuration information, and coordinating remediation tasks.
- Track assigned operational audit actions through completion and maintain supporting documentation.
- Assist with implementation of approved security, compliance, and access-control requirements within IT Operations.
Operational Stability & Documentation
- Work across multiple subsidiaries and locations to support consistent IT operations and service continuity.
- Maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge articles for assigned infrastructure and access services.
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying recurring issues, documentation gaps, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide operational continuity during periods of high project, audit, or remediation activity.
What You’ll Need
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure operations, systems administration, network administration, or a related enterprise IT role.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows enterprise environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and general Windows troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management operations, including user lifecycle management, security groups, permissions, authentication troubleshooting, and access provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration, including identity, authentication, user/group administration, and hybrid identity environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise virtualization platforms, including virtual machine provisioning, monitoring, routine maintenance, resource/capacity monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting enterprise endpoint and server patching, including maintenance coordination, deployment validation, troubleshooting, and remediation follow-up.
- Experience working within an IT Service Management (ITSM) environment, including incident/request management, escalation, ticket routing, documentation, and SLA-driven support.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot common infrastructure and authentication issues and recognize when escalation to senior technical resources is required.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, documentation, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple locations, business units, and technical teams.
Preferred
- Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft environments that integrate on-premises Active Directory with cloud-based identity and Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Experience with endpoint management, software deployment, configuration management, or mobile device management platforms.
- Familiarity with network access control, VPN, firewall, and enterprise network security technologies.
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, User Access Review (UAR), or access certification activities.
- Familiarity with least privilege, privileged access, MFA, endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening concepts.
- Experience working in multi-site or geographically distributed enterprise environments.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field preferred, but not required.
- Relevant technical training in systems administration, networking, Microsoft technologies, cloud technologies, or enterprise infrastructure operations is preferred.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft role-based certifications, or equivalent are preferred.
- Specialized training or certifications in Windows Server, Microsoft Azure/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, or enterprise infrastructure technologies are a plus.
- Relevant hands-on experience and technical training may be considered in evaluating a candidate's overall qualifications.
Role Scope
- This is an individual-contributor role and does not include direct people-management responsibilities.
- The role performs operational administration and technical escalation within established standards but does not independently own enterprise architecture decisions.
- The role does not replace Senior Network/System Administrators and escalates advanced or architectural matters to senior technical resources.
- The role does not independently lead major infrastructure programs or projects.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Reports to the Director of IT Operations.
- Works closely with Senior Network/System Administrators, Service Desk teams, Cybersecurity, GRC, and business stakeholders.
- Escalates advanced, architectural, or high-risk infrastructure issues to senior technical resources or IT Operations leadership as appropriate.

Compensation
For U.S. locations that require the disclosure of compensation, the pay range for this position is $80,000 Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not include other components of the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Richline Group, Inc., your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
