We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Wu Jieh Yee School of Arts and Social Sciences:

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Assisting the Principal Investigator in the research project related to Chinese Mythology and digital culture (Project name: “The Digital Renaissance of Chinese Mythology” (Project Code: R7079);
• Conducting literature review and research on relevant topics;
• Assisting in project coordination, data collection and analysis; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned to support the operation of the research project.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, creative writing, digital media or related discipline;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
• Good computer skills, including video editing, WordPress and MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
• Effective organization skills; and
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time fixed term contract and work not more than 16.5 hours per week between October 2026 and July 2027. Payment will be made on hourly basis. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
