About the Role
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on matters relating to the Corporation’s operations and commercial activities in Hong Kong
- Review, prepare and advise on commercial contracts, business documents and other legal arrangements relating to operational and commercial activities, including marketing and promotional initiatives
- Support the development and maintenance of internal procedures, guidelines and policies to promote legal and regulatory compliance
- Assist in handling corporate and commercial matters, including employment, intellectual property, insurance, procurement, consultancy, data protection and statutory compliance
- Assist in advising on regulatory, compliance and contentious matters, including disputes, claims, investigations and regulatory enquiries as part of a broad-based legal practice
- Conduct legal research, prepare legal advice and support internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal matters
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist in delivering legal knowledge sharing and training initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws Degree or post-graduate legal qualification
- Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with a minimum 4 years’ post-qualification legal experience
- Experience in corporate and commercial legal matters
- Exposure to contentious, regulatory or compliance-related matters would be an advantage
- Good analytical, drafting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with sensitivity in stakeholder management
- Good command of both written and spoken English
