  1. Position Summary

The candidate will provide support for all functions of the Advancement Office including but not limited to data updates, research, stewardship assistance and event assistance. The candidate is expected to consider all information, written or verbal, as sensitive and confidential. 


  1. Learning Outcomes 

This position is intended to contribute to the learning and professional development of the student serving in this role. As a result of serving in this role, the student worker will have achieved the following outcomes:

  1. Learn to use the Razor's Edge donor database, including data entry, reporting, and record accuracy, while building basic database logic and organization skills
  2. Develop critical thinking skills through research and problem solving on live projects
  3. Build customer service and communication skills 
  4. Gain hands on experience with social media planning, content creation, and posting
  5. Practice integrating artificial intelligence tools into research, design and writing

  1. Education and Experience

Minimum

Current and full-time student status with Chaminade University

Preferred

Student should maintain a current GPA of at least (2.5)


  1. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and resources.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.


  1. Physical Requirements

Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.


  1. Other Requirements: 
  • This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. The work week will consist 19 hours maximum from Monday through Friday with holidays being the exception. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule. 


  • Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner.
