POSITION SUMMARY
SICE is seeking an experienced Regional Safety Manager to lead and support Environmental, Health & Safety activities across Texas. This role requires a strong field presence, leadership of safety professionals, and close partnership with Operations, Project Management, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, and field employees. The successful candidate must be able to influence safe execution across multiple active projects while maintaining clear accountability and consistent company standards.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
A practical, field-driven safety leader who can build credibility with crews and Operations, identify risk before an incident occurs, coach leaders, hold teams accountable, and solve problems without compromising safety standards.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Safety professionals and maintain a strong, consistent field presence across Texas projects.
- Partner with Operations and Project Management during pre-planning, mobilization, kickoff, and execution.
- Personally visit active job sites to verify work processes and field execution, conduct inspections, coach employees and supervisors, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Reinforce JHAs, DRAs, toolbox talks, permits, and required safety documentation.
- Oversee high-risk work including excavation, utilities, electrical, heavy equipment, traffic control, lifting, and fall protection.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations and support employee/subcontractor training, engagement, and compliance.

Physical Requirements for role:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on active construction sites, including uneven terrain, gravel, and unfinished surfaces.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and to access elevated work areas/confined spaces for inspections.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (safety equipment, signage, monitoring devices).
- Ability to wear all required PPE for full shifts, including: hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, safety-toe boots, gloves, and hearing protection. Must be fit-tested. Wear a respirator when required.
- Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions including extended exposure to heat, cold, rain, and dust.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach during site inspections and incident investigations.
- Visual acuity (with or without correction) sufficient to identify hazards at distance and read instrumentation; hearing sufficient to detect alarms, backup signals, and radio communication in high-noise environments.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive between project sites, sometimes for several hours in a day.
- Ability to respond to jobsite emergencies, may require moving quickly across the site.
