About the Role

Business Analyst - Financial & Risk Reconciliation (FRR)

Data powers better decisions, stronger reporting, and meaningful progress. At ING, we're looking for a Business Analyst who is passionate about data management, regulatory reporting, and solving complex business challenges.

In this role, you'll help deliver trusted Finance and Risk data that supports reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements across the organization. You'll work closely with stakeholders, data specialists, and technology teams to improve how data is sourced, governed, and delivered, enabling ING to stay a step ahead in life and in business.

 

Role Summary

 

As a Business Analyst within the Tribe Granular Reporting (GR), you will play a key role in data management, data requirements gathering, data definition and mapping, data onboarding, and data modelling. You'll support the delivery of high-quality Finance and Risk data while contributing to initiatives that strengthen data quality, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

 

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Business Data Owners, Data Stewards, and stakeholders to understand and define data requirements.
  • Support data onboarding, data modelling, and data management activities across Finance and Risk domains.
  • Perform reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data modelers to integrate data from various systems across the ING landscape.
  • Develop UAT plans and create comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Support solution development, implementation, and operational data delivery.
  • Monitor progress, communicate dependencies and risks, and engage stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management standards, processes, and ways of working.

 

About the Team

 

The Tribe Granular Reporting (GR) is responsible for delivering accurate and harmonized Finance and Risk data that supports accounting, analytics, and reporting across ING. The team enables ING's transformation from report-driven processes to data-driven decision-making by providing a reliable source of truth and strong data management capabilities.

You'll join a diverse, international team working in an Agile environment where collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

 

Required Skills

 

We're looking for someone who combines business analysis expertise with a passion for data.

 

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience in data management and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong SQL and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience gathering, managing, and translating business and data requirements.
  • Understanding of logical and conceptual data models.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing.
  • Experience supporting Statutory and Regulatory Reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Banking products knowledge from an accounting or regulatory reporting perspective.
  • Experience improving financial reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of Finance, Risk, and Data Management domains.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Economics or a related field.
