JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Astro Family Internship Programme 2027 – Technology & Data

As Astro celebrates 30 years of serving generations of Malaysians, we're proud to introduce the Astro Family Internship Programme, an internship opportunity exclusively for Astro customers and their eligible family members.

The Technology & Data category gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and discover how technology and data support Astro’s products, digital platforms and customer experiences. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to real-world projects across areas such as:

• Engineering
• Product & Digital
• Data & Analytics
• Technology Operations
• Cybersecurity
• Digital Platforms
• Other technology and data-related functions

Depending on your internship placement, you may support projects, conduct research and analysis, assist with testing or documentation, and participate in team discussions and activities.

What You’ll Do

As an intern at Astro, you may have the opportunity to:

• Support technology, product, digital or data-related projects and initiatives
• Assist with research, testing, analysis, reporting and documentation
• Participate in project discussions, team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Work with data and information to support analysis and generate insights
• Assist teams in identifying opportunities to improve products, processes or user experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across different functions
• Gain exposure to real-world digital products, technology systems and platforms
• Learn how technology and data support business decisions and customer outcomes

Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, explore new technologies and understand how technology works behind the scenes at Astro.

REQUIREMENTS:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for students who are:

• Malaysian citizen
• Currently enrolled in a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree programme
• Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or equivalent)
• Available for a minimum three (3)-month internship between February and July 2027
• Astro customer or eligible family member (children, grandchildren or siblings) of an Astro customer
• Able to provide a valid active Astro account number as part of the application process
• Curious and eager to learn
• Interested in technology, data, digital products or innovation
• Analytical and enjoy solving problems
• Detail-oriented and willing to ask questions
• Collaborative and comfortable working as part of a team
• Open to learning new tools, technologies and ways of working
• Proactive and willing to take on new challenges
