Body Shop Painter

Description
Body Shop Painter
FURY MOTORS COLLISION CENTER, SOUTH ST. PAUL
$28–$35 per hour | Full-time
A great finish starts with a skilled painter.
You know the difference between a finish that passes inspection and one you’re proud to put your name on. From careful prep to an accurate color match and a flawless clear coat, your craftsmanship shows in every vehicle you complete.
We’re looking for a Body Shop Painter who takes pride in that work. You’ll handle automotive painting and refinishing, working alongside body technicians, estimators, and the Body Shop Manager to deliver quality collision repairs and get customers back on the road.
The Opportunity
- Earn $28–$35 per hour, based on experience and performance.
- Put your automotive refinishing skills to work in a full-time role.
- See the results of your craftsmanship in every completed repair.
- Play a key role in the shop’s quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Create a quality finish from the start. Prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning.
- Get the color right. Mix and match paint using computerized color-matching systems.
- Deliver precise paintwork. Apply paint, clear coat, and finishes according to OEM and manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper curing and drying.
- Check your work. Inspect color match and finish consistency, correcting defects before a vehicle moves to delivery.
- Keep repairs moving. Coordinate with technicians and estimators, communicate completion timelines, and help meet shop production goals.
- Take care of your workspace. Maintain paint guns, spray booths, and related equipment; keep the shop organized; and follow PPE, ventilation, and paint-material handling requirements.
- Support fellow painters and technicians during busy periods.
What You Bring
- Two or more years of automotive painting or refinishing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OEM paint systems and refinishing procedures.
- Experience with computerized color-matching systems.
- A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to getting the job done right.
- The ability to balance quality workmanship with efficient turnaround.
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
