Externship Opportunity
Bridor USA is seeking a motivated student from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to participate in our Spring 2027 Quality Assurance & Food Safety Externship Program at our Vineland, New Jersey manufacturing facility.
This paid externship is designed specifically for CIA students seeking to fulfill their Spring 2027 academic externship requirements while gaining hands-on experience in food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, product testing, environmental monitoring, and bakery manufacturing operations.
The selected extern will work directly with Bridor's Quality Assurance team and gain practical exposure to the systems, processes, and standards that support the production of premium bakery products served throughout North America.

Externship Structure
Week 1 – QA Orientation & Food Safety Fundamentals
- Introduction to Bridor operations and quality systems
- GMP and HACCP training
- Overview of Bridor quality standards
Weeks 2–4 – Incoming & In-Process Quality Control
- Raw material inspections
- Production process monitoring
- Documentation and recordkeeping
Weeks 5–8 – Product Evaluation & Testing
- Finished product inspections
- Product testing in the Baking Center
- Shelf-life testing
- Sampling and testing procedures
- Deviation identification and reporting
Weeks 9–11 – Compliance & Audits
- Internal audit support
- SOP review and documentation
- Environmental testing
- Regulatory compliance exposure
Weeks 12–13 – Continuous Improvement
- KPI and quality trend analysis
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Why and 6M)
- CAR and CAPA participation
- Continuous improvement projects
Weeks 14–15 – Capstone & Evaluation
- Presentation of key learnings
- Final evaluation and feedback session
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA)
- Eligible to participate in a Spring 2027 semester externship
- Available from January 5, 2027 through April 16, 2027
- Pursuing studies in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, Food Business Management, Applied Food Studies, or a related program
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in food manufacturing, food safety, and quality systems
- Ability to work in a production environment
