Our client was established in 2016 by a team of aerospace and defense engineers who sought to revolutionize urban and private parking solutions with cutting-edge electro-optical and AI technologies. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, our client began delivering its innovative parking solutions to U.S. customers in 2021 and is now rapidly expanding its North American footprint. Their mission is to simplify on-street and off-street paid parking through intelligent, integrated hardware and cloud-based software solutions.

Position Overview


We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to lead our North American sales organization, expand our customer base, and establish us as the go-to provider for AI-powered parking solutions. This executive-level position is ideal for a highly strategic, data-driven, and charismatic sales leader with a strong track record in B2B technology sales—especially in markets such as smart cities, municipalities, and enterprise parking solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership

o   Develop and present the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the North American sales organization.

o   Lead, manage, and mentor the regional sales management team and national sales representatives.

o   Act as a public-facing leader and speaker to promote the company’s mission at industry events, trade shows, and forums.


Sales Performance & Quota Management

o   Define, manage, and audit sales quotas across all channels (direct, dealer, and OEM).

o   Develop dynamic and adaptable quota-related models in alignment with corporate financial goals.

o   Provide strategic guidance and adjustments to drive sales behavior and performance improvements.

o   Create and distribute monthly/quarterly sales reports and dashboards using Salesforce and related tools.


Data Analysis & Decision Support

o   Provide analytical and decision-support insights to HQ and executive leadership.

o   Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business drivers across the sales network.

o   Offer strategic recommendations based on changing market conditions and quota performance.


Cross-functional Collaboration

o   Work closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to align go-to-market strategies.

o   Engage regularly with OEM partners and channel stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities.


Customer and Market Engagement

o   Represent team to current and prospective clients across North America.

o   Lead by example in client-facing engagements and relationship management.

Requirements

  

Required Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of progressively senior sales experience roles for companies owned by others, with 5+ years in an executive sales leadership role, managing a sales team with an annual targeted quota.
  • Proven success in selling disruptive technologies that include integrated hardware and cloud-based software solutions.
  • Experience selling to municipalities, parking operators, and smart city entities is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, quota setting, and financial modeling.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (BA, BSc); graduate degree (MBA or relevant field) preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively (up to 50%+ nationally).
