Position Summary:


The Pipefitter is essential to the work we perform in the field, helping turn plans and specifications into piping systems that are built safely, accurately, and to our customers’ requirements. This role is responsible for preparing, fitting, assembling, and installing piping while working closely with the crew to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Your role matters here because the work you do becomes part of something bigger than any one task or project.


The ideal candidate is an experienced Pipefitter who takes pride in their work, makes safety a priority, pays attention to the details, and works well as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, prepare, assemble, and install piping according to project specifications.
  • Fit and secure piping using appropriate methods and materials, including clamps and other supports.
  • Set and adjust components to meet required specifications.
  • Inspect and prepare work areas for installation and construction activities.
  • Weld, assemble, and lubricate piping as required by the work.
  • Test piping and related systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
  • Identify issues and troubleshoot problems during installation and assembly.
  • Safely use and maintain tools and equipment required for the work.
  • Move materials, tools, and supplies as needed to support project activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow company safety requirements and applicable jobsite procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, crew members, and other trades to complete assigned work      safely and efficiently.

     

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and specifications.
  • Strong measuring and basic numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to identify problems and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a crew.
  • Working knowledge of safety practices associated with piping, industrial equipment, and jobsite      hazards.
  • Proactive approach to completing work and addressing issues.
  • Commitment to making safety a priority in every task.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as required.
     

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in various positions while performing pipefitting duties.
  • Regularly use hands and arms to handle tools, materials, piping, and equipment.
  • Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb, step over, and maneuver around equipment, materials, and jobsite obstacles.
  • Perform work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.


 Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $28 - $34/Hour 

Overtime: Eligible after 40 hours of work in one week
